I don’t like the smell, yet it performs so well that I just forgot about the smell #lol. Very light weight, and feels natural on the scalp.
Taiana –
It performs very well! I have dark hair and I was concerned about the white powder but it disappears very fast. Gave my hair a natural look with no need to wash with water. I really liked!
Ume –
I was not so sure about this product. It is white, and comes loose in a bottle. I’ve only ever used dry shampoos out of an aerosol container. I used it and loved it. It was absorbed by my dark hair and gave my hair some bounce that it had lost after a day of not washing it. It wasn’t hard to apply and would definitely recommend! Plus it is better for the environment without the aerosol!
Ksenia –
I really wanted to like this dry shampoo. I have tried all the brands drug stores in Toronto carry, and have yet to find the perfect dry shampoo. I really liked the smell of this dry shampoo, and it didn’t feel toxic for the air like the aerosol ones. But the cons outweight the pros for me. First, even though I have quite light-coloured hair, I could still see the powder. It also didn’t absorb the oil of my hair that well either, I had to spray it with my regular dry shampoo after. I also found the application more messy and time consuming than an aerosol.
Zoe –
It’s my first time using dry shampoo, and it’s unfortunate to say that I’m not the biggest fan. My hair doesn’t feel cleaner, and the white dust makes my hair look lighter/dirtier than it is. I could be allergic to some of the ingredients because my scalp itched shortly after applying it.
Olena –
I only tried spray dry shampoos before and some of them work better than others. I was looking to try one in a powder form and this one worked perfectly. I have blond hair, so you can’t really see it, but might be a problem for people with dark hair.
christina –
I would definitely recommend anyone who have a oily hair to try this product, it is very helpful.
Jonathan –
It seemed to work to kept my scalp from feeling oily and greasy, not sure if I’d use it often in lieu of washing my hair. I felt like I worked it into my hair well, and didn’t seem to have the white dust issues others did.
Kat –
This product did the trick. That said, I didn’t find it got rid of as much grease as other products I’ve tried in the past. Would recommend, but you might need to use more than you expect.
Meghan –
This product effectively removed the oil on my scalp to prolong between washes. My only issue was with the application. I have only used a dry shampoo from an aerosol bottle so it was a small learning curve to figure out how to use it effectively. But I am happy to help the environment by not using those bottles anymore!
Crystal –
This dry shampoo is similar to Lush’s No Drought dry shampoo which I love but it is a little messy compared to spray ones like Batiste but I think the powder type lasts a lot longer! I also like the light mint fragrance from this product and its light weight! Perfect for traveling!
N. Robertson –
This product was a nice surprise. The powder made me a little nervous at first but I found it blended into my hair easily with a few brush strokes. I would purchase this in the future over the spray product I’ve used in the past.
Irene –
I have only ever used spray dry shampoo like Batiste and hated it. I always had to wash my hair out after using it because over the course of the day, my hair would feel so dirty, matted and just gross. I didn’t even know dry shampoo came in the form of powder until I tried this OM Organics Dry Shampoo. I like how easy it was to blend into my hair and how I didn’t feel gross at the end of the day — a mommy approved product.
Lisa –
I was not a fan of this product but I’ve never tried a dry shampoo before. I found it messy to apply and it didn’t soak into my roots, scalp or my hair very well. It made my head a bit itchy and I felt like it made me look “dusty” even though I’m a redhead. My hair didnt feel cleaner than before even after a few hours. Wanted to like it but did not 🙁
Lauren –
Not sure if I would use this product again. The powder is so fine that while it absorbed into my hair and I couldn’t see any remnants, it was an incredibly messy application and I now have powder on my shirt and counter top. It did reduce how oily my hair was, but because of how difficult I found it to apply, it only did so around the roots and not slightly beyond the roots.
Jaci –
As others have said, the application is not nearly as easy as the spray dry shampoos, but perhaps with a little practice it wouldn’t seem as much of a hinderance to using this product. I don’t use dry shampoo often, but like to have the option every now and then. I didn’t experience a white residue in my hair (and I have dark hair) and found it gave me some volume as I worked it into my roots. It could perhaps be a bit more absorbent or maybe I didn’t use enough product. All that being said, I wouldn’t rave about this product, but I wouldn’t overly diss it either.
Melissa –
Never used dry shampoo before, and usually see it as an aerosol. Does make dark hair a bit lighter on application, but eventually absorbed into my hair.
Anne –
love it – so nice and fine. I’ve used lots of others and this one is good!
Marie –
This is the first dry shampoo I’ve used and I was skeptical about how much it would help. Have to say I really liked it. After one of those long work weeks and being too tired to do the full hairwashing routine, this was a great help! Scalp felt comfortable, light and relieved. The fragrance I didn’t find an issue either. Even with dark hair, it massaged in fine. Definitely a step up from the talcum powder I’ve used previously!
Tiara –
I was surprised that it disappeared into my black hair. I actually prefer this loose powder to an aerosol can application -it’s a little messier to apply with a brush, but I don’t have to deal with clogged aerosol cans anymore! And so nice to know that it’s all natural.
Colette –
This product is lightweight, non aerosol (so good for the environment) and does absorb oil as others have claimed. However, it is messy to apply, takes a lot of powder in one application (at least for me) and has an odd smell. Not bad, just odd. Almost chalky. I wouldn’t normally use dry shampoo anyway, and this one didn’t change my mind.
sinnamon –
Really liked the results of this product. Although the application is kinda messy, it is refreshing and gets absorbed really fast… loved how light it feels!
Belinda –
Tried this a few times so far using a large powder brush to apply – it works really well, even on post-workout hair! It was a little more tedious & time consuming to apply than a dry shampoo spray, and I’m not the biggest fan of the smell, but otherwise an effective product. It definitely gave my hair some life back from the roots when it was oily.
Sue –
Like others I struggled with the application. Though I used a brush it went everywhere!
It’s succesful in disappearing in to your hair as it’s soooo fine a powder, but that’s the drawback in applying it.
pam –
I don’t usually use dry shampoos so I was surprised by how well it worked (it resuscitated my two-day-old hair). I didn’t have a brush handy so I carefully dumped a bit at my roots and blended it in with my fingers – it disappeared quickly in my dark hair. I have a newborn so this is definitely going into my “beauty back pocket”!
Kathrin –
I have only used aerosol dry shampoos in the past but really liked this product. It is very light and knowing that I’m putting something that isn’t toxic on my scalp makes this product a winner in my books.
Devi –
Had to use more product than conventional, chemical-laden dry shampoo. Havjng said that it was nice to know that I wasn’t loading up my hair with toxins. I would definitely recommend it.
Malika –
I am very wary of using aerosol based dry shampoos loaded with chemicals so typically opt for a brushing of baby powder if I don’t have time to brush my hair. This powder had a much better smell and lessened the appearance of excess oils without making it feel too heavy

Sabrina –
My hair wasn’t overly greasy but it worked well. You really need to tossle your hair for the powder to be absorbed, but there wasn’t any white powder residue which is great. Not hard to apply at all, just that it can get a bit messy on the counter.
Samaher R –
Great product. It soaks up excess oils in my hair and doesn’t have a very strong scent. Looks natural as well – doesn’t leave a powder/white residue. If anyone’s looking for a dry shampoo, I recommend giving this one a shot.
Ellen –
I had never used dry shampoo before, so I waited until I had a day where I didn’t have to go anywhere. Unfortunately, like some other users here, it made my scalp quite itchy. I like the idea of a dry shampoo, but this also wouldn’t be enough to deal with chlorine from my regular routine of swimming laps (with a bathing cap).
Melissa –
I’ve never used dry shampoo before, but this did not work well for my hair. It didn’t absorb the oil, though the white powder did disappear in my dark hair. It also smells like pickles to me, which I did not like. I will not be using this product again.
Anny –
Good dry shampoo. It feels fairly light and the scent doesn’t bother me. I do feel like I have to use a lot of the powder to fully absorb my hair oils but at least it blends into my dark hair nicely.
Etna –
Not a fan. The product smells ok, like mildly citrusy and it certainly absorbed some oil. However my hair looked ashy after using it. I tried to distribute it better with my fingers, used a brush and still the ashy look stayed there. The hair does feel softer after using it and feels cleaner, but the ashy look was a no no for me.
anna.pengg –
Personally didn’t really notice a huge difference on my hair and it smells like some spices I could find in my kitchen. Maybe I didn’t use enough?
Shelley –
The white powder blended into my hair and the powder made my oily hair matte again. It looked like I washed my hair.
Sue –
I’d never used a dry shampoo before trying this one, so can’t compare it to others, but it seemed to do the trick. My only issue was that my hair is dark and I could still see the product after applying it. In any case, if I had a need to use a dry shampoo I would try this product again. I liked that it did not have an overpowering scent or leave a cloud of product to inhale.
Jak –
Overall, decent product. The scent is quite mild so not overbearing. The powder is light and blends with my dark hair easily without leaving streaks. Product doesn’t feel heavy and does make my hair feel less greasy compared to other aerosol dry shampoos. I didn’t get much additional hair volume but it felt cleaner.
Sandra –
This is the first dry shampoo I’ve ever tried, and I’m not even sure I used it right because I didn’t have a powder brush. I just applied it to my scalp and then brushed it out… it smelled great, but without being able to blow dry my hair it left it pretty flat. Also my hair’s pretty thick so I may have needed to just use more.
hamalruchi –
First time using dry shampoo! It absorbed super fast into my dark hair, but I feel like I’d need to use a lot of the powder before I looked less greasy on third day hair. Can’t really compare it to other dry shampoos, but if was ever to use dry shampoo again I’d def prefer this one because of its ingredients.
cindy.louie –
Worked well compared to the aerosal can versions I’ve tried. Didn’t need a lot to be effective and absorbed well into scalp/hair.
jenniferdworkman –
I’ve tried a few different types of dry shampoo and found this is to be better than the other powder ones for sure. It absorbs pretty well overall and leaves much less white than others. It helps absorb some oil and improves the look of my hair a bit but using too much seems to make things worse. Overall, I’d say it’s a very good product but it’s not quite at excellent in my books.
lee.carriecatherine –
It says use a powder brush but who actually has a powder brush for their hair available? I tried to use it but application was too messy.
Sarah –
I didn’t really notice a scent for it, but I would only be using very small amounts at a time as my hair has a fine texture and does not really get very greasy. I liked how fine the powder was and felt it absorbed easily. I don’t like the loose powder application procedure as I found it awkward, messy and not overly precise. In the end, portions of my hair had nice volume and looked good while other areas looked missed.
Harjot –
When it comes to dry shampoo, I’m not usually a fan. I have dark hair and usually dry shampoo leaves residue in my hair that looks a lot like dandruff. Even dry shampoo for brunette’s leaves color stains on your fingers when you just want to flip you hair from one side to the other.
I wasn’t sure I was going to like this one because it was a white powder – but this stuff is probably the best dry shampoo I’ve ever used. My hair looked clean for a full week, and I can barely go two days without a wash. No little white specks, no issues running your hands through your hair – honestly, really good stuff.
Cruz –
This product is great. Lightweight and leaves me looking like i just washed my hair. I like it a lot and look forward to purchasing more!
Nancy –
The scent is light and fresh and my hair felt “cleaner” after I applied it to my scalp. There was no white residue left over either in my black hair. I didn’t have a brush on hand to apply it so I used my ring finger.
Karen –
Maybe its because I got it as a sample and I found it difficult to have to apply it with brush? I didn’t feel any real difference after applying to my 2 day unwashed hair.
Katie –
Very light weight and did the trick! My hair looked refreshed and had more volume after use.
Carlisle –
Loved this! Works well, easy to apply. Definitely recommend.
Namika –
As a disclaimer, I received this item as a free sample in order to provide my honest opinion. I don’t normally use dry shampoo but have used it in the past. Unfortunately, I found this item messy to use. The loose powder is very difficult to apply. As a girl with very short hair I found it worked better in my thicker bangs than on the more thinned out sides of my cut. It didn’t really absorb all of the oil in my hair. I’d personally rather just quickly wash my hair. Maybe it’s because washing and styling is easy with short hair but I don’t think I’ll be using this dry shampoo ever again.
Suzette –
I wasn’t thrilled with this product at all! This was my first time trying dry shampoo as my hair is super curly and I tend to wash it once a week. I found that it made my hair look flaky/dirty and didn’t give it a fresh feel as it suggested! I think I’ll stick with the traditional washing process for now!
Jen –
I’ve never used dry shampoo before because I have black hair and wasn’t sure if the white powder would disappear.
The powder definitely disappeared! And the powder removed the oily look. but my hair still looked flat — I’m not sure if I should expect it not to be flat?
All in all, it is great. And has saved me on a few occasions.
Stina –
Enjoyed the product. Worked well with my fine hair, and didn’t mind the smell at all (noticed some others had issues). Happy that it’s not aerosol as well.
Cindy –
This is my first time trying dry shampoo and it seems to do the job. Because it is a powder when applying it, it feels very light. I have dark hair but it absorbs very quickly and my hair no longer looked oily. I would recommend trying this if you are looking for a dry shampoo.
Andrea –
I prefer this to the aerosol spray I usually use, as it was lightweight. I felt cleaner, not like I was hiding a dirty secret!
Katharine –
I usually use products in a spray can, but this product did just the same! My hair is quite dark and it did absorb most of it. Pleased with the results!
J –
It absorbed and made my hair look less “greasy” but it didn’t last for the full day and it left like white flakes in my scalp…my hair is really fine..
Christine –
Performed really well.
Ernie M –
This is a great product for use between shampoos. Works to reduce that greasy feeling and look. Didn’t leave white dots in my black hair like some other ones I have tried.
