Graydon Skincare is an online clean beauty company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. It first launched in 2012 and has been expanding ever since. They are currently in over 100 retail stores across North America. Graydon Skincare sells natural, superfood skincare that is formulated with clinically-proven, results driven ingredients. Graydon’s mission is to help you look and feel your best from the inside out and outside in. Her products are plant-based, vegan, cruelty free & ethically sourced. The formulas are packed with activities like botanical retinol, collagen, peptides, hyaluronic acid, probiotics, niacinamide, vitamin C and gemstone crystals.

 

What inspired you to start your business?

Before Graydon Skincare, Graydon Moffat, the founder and CEO worked as a certified yoga instructor. Besides actually teaching her students yoga postures, she also found herself teaching them self-care. Many of her students had skincare concerns that Graydon addressed by creating her own superfood formulas in her kitchen. This sparked her passion for plant-based skincare.

What were some roadblocks/issues that you have faced? How have you prevailed?

Most of the roadblocks Graydon has faced are typical for all entrepreneurs. These include legal issues and limited cash flow.

What is one of your favourite products? Can you tell us more about this product?

Graydon’s favourite product is the Fullmoon serum. It’s water-based which is perfect for dehydrated skin. It uses botanical retinol derived from moth bean to reduce the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles. Many other actives are also used, including malachite, which is a powerful healing gemstone that detox skin with antioxidant properties.

What are your favourite ingredients and why?

Graydon’s favourite ingredients are botanical retinol, vegan probiotics, ceramides and superfoods like matcha, morgina & tumeric. All of these ingredients are clinically proven and natural which is why she loves them.

Share your brand ethos and how you demonstrate credibility as it relates to your formulation and ingredients

Graydon’s mission is to make you feel and look your best from the outside in and inside out. That’s why they formulate with clinically proven superfoods to give todays modern beauty customer the best of both worlds.

What are some myths in the clean/green beauty sector that should be debunked?

That natural ingredients are not as effective synthetic compounds!
